Are Your Lights On? (Pt 6)

‘…Walk as children of light … And have not fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.’ Ephesians 5:8-13

If you haven’t read the previous issues, be sure to catch up. But in this final issue, we’ll discuss how God is exposing unrepentant Christians. Notice that in Ephesians 5: 13 God said that all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest IS LIGHT. In other words, those of us that are walking in the light, living and doing what the Word of God says; our actions, our lifestyles will expose those who don’t - not people deliberately setting out to expose just to be hurtful, self-righteous, or to make a profit.

Matthew 5:14-16 says, ‘You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.'

People should see how you live, respond, and behave. Your lifestyle should cause the world and even unrepentant Christians to see how life should be lived and how God operates in you. We don’t have to finger point or condemn because our LIVES are LIGHT. The question is; ‘Is your life fully lit, dim, or are your lights even on?’

Pray this with me;

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the things, habits, and people that I have allowed in my life that caused my lifestyle not to be a reflection of who You are.
