Let me just get straight to it. Don’t believe the lie. Just because your life is still living the lie doesn’t mean things aren’t happening. Don’t talk yourself out of believing God, just because your situation hasn’t changed. It may have even worsened since you prayed. But that doesn’t mean you’re not making progress. Even if your life is still in a lying state, don’t let the enemy convince you that things aren’t working out.
‘For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.’
2 Corinthians 10:4, 5
Don’t sit there and argue with the devil about what God is doing. He doesn’t believe in God. He doesn’t know the truth so don’t let him talk you into believing the lie that things will never change. He is a lie and the father of them which means he doesn’t do the truth. He doesn’t understand and can’t comprehend what God is doing for you, so don’t sit there and talk yourself out of doing what God told you to do. You’re going to make it through and will come out of that mess. Because believe it or not, sometimes the only way to make it through is to go through. But while you do, believe the truth and the truth only. Don’t watch lies on television, don’t listen to lying music, and don’t talk to liars about your situation. Stay in the truth. As a matter of fact, ask God for the Spirit of truth.
John 14:16, 17 says, ‘…and I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.’ Since He is the Spirit of truth, another way to look at that verse is that the devil and those around you don’t believe that you or situation will change. And that's because they can’t, ‘…see [the truth and neither do they] …know [the truth]; but you know [the truth], for [the truth] dwells with you and [the truth] will be in you.’
‘…while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ (2 Cor. 4:18)
That lie you’re experiencing is temporary so don’t pay attention to it. Look at the things which are not seen. Those things on your vision board, in your journal, or in your business plan for 2019. Again, don’t argue with the devil and don’t let him talk you into believing a lie. You’re coming through that thing whether he believes it or not!
Pray this with me: Heavenly Father, I’ve been in this situation for so long that I don’t know what to believe. Help me to see the truth. Please give me the Spirit of truth so that I follow Him out of this and into where You need me to be. In Jesus’ name.
