Return on Your Tithing Investment

In my last post, I mentioned that one reason some haven’t received a return on their seed is because they hadn’t tithed. The reason they haven’t seen a return on their investment is because the tithe serves as a preservative. God said in Malachi 3:10, 11,

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not…rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field…”

When you tithe, the tithe preserves the ground; your business, ministry, organization, and/or position for the company you work for, as well as the vine; the systems, processes, the way you go about collecting payment for your service, product, and/or doing your job. What that means is because you tithe and give offerings (sow seed), your fruit, wages, and/or or profit is preserved. Which means anytime you sow, you should expect a harvest and an ROI, a return on your investment.

Sowing is Investing

For example, on yesterday, I mentioned how I’d sown into several book publishing projects. I did so strategically. I’m a writer which means I self-publish books. Therefore, any time I hear of someone in the kingdom (whether in ministry or in business), that has a publishing project, or one that involves content creation, I check my heart and see if it’s something I should sow into, or as the world puts it, invest in. Once I have a peace about it, I invest. And like any good investor, I update my investment portfolio. In other words, I keep a journal and a spreadsheet of who and what I sowed into as well as how much I gave. That way, when I’m in need or am working on a particular project, I can check my portfolio (spreadsheet) to see what type of investment I’ve made. If I’ve invested in what I need, then I know I can expect a cash dividend that will come byway of God giving me ideas, insights, a strategy, and/or even sending someone to pay me directly. Whether that someone sows into my ministry, gives me an opportunity, or hands me the cash. #chiching

The thing about natural sowing is that when you sow your seed, that crop has a certain time to produce a harvest. If you fail to harvest the crop, it rots. However, when you sow into the kingdom, it’s not like that at all. It’s actually supernatural because just like certain crops require pesticides and some foods have artificial preservatives to slow down spoilage, discoloration, and to keep the food fresh; the tithe does the same. It preserves and protects your business, ministry, organization, job, and seed from being destroyed. When you sow into kingdom businesses, ministries, and/or people, the seed won’t spoil, but only if it’s been tithed on. Say for instance you sowed an apple seed. After a while, that apple seed will eventually produce apples. The apples won’t rot on the vine because the Lord of hosts acts as your personal gardener. He protects and preserves your ground; your future business, product, service, ministry, and position on your job. This is good news because some of you have been investing for decades and have yet to see any dividends. But be encouraged! Because even though it’s been a long time, your fruit won’t spoil because its protected by the preservative of the tithe. However, if you haven’t or don’t tithe, then you have a bigger issue than food spoilage; your issue is theft. #wayment #whatnow Theft Byway of Not Tithing

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that you are not a thief and the money you invested wasn’t stolen. That’s true. But God said in Malachi 3:8 says, ‘…yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.’ Because you failed to faithfully tithe, God was unable to, ‘rebuke the devourer’ when he came to eat ‘the fruit of your ground’, because God cannot protect a thief; especially one that’s robbed Him. Unfortunately, that means that though your investment was at an all-time high, God wasn’t able to rebuke the birds, bugs, animals and people that came to steal a few pieces off of your tree which caused the markets to crash. And you can’t get mad at God for their thievery, seeing as how you robbed Him first.

So what’s the point of this post – TITHE! Set aside a dime of every dollar to give to God so that He can rebuke the devourer off of your finances and/or business, ministry, organization, and/or job. Because when you do, He can preserve and protect it and you!

Pray this with me: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for having only sown. I thought that was all You required of me, but I see now that You want me to tithe. Not just so You or the Pastor can get my money, but so that You can preserve and protect me financially. Lord, show me how I can off of what I make. And when You do, I will bring it faithfully. In Jesus’ name.
