Dr. Creflo Dollar, Senior Pastor of World Changers Church International, asks for $65 million for a private jet. With all the backlash in the Christian community, is the problem that he asked people to donate or is the problem that the money will be used for a jet? Well, first and foremost, the first question that should be on every Christians mind is WWJD – What Would Jesus Do? Some might ask, ‘You mean to tell me, the Bible that talks about preachers and jets?’ Absolutely!
Go with me to Matthew 21:1-3.
‘Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”

WHY A JET?
Notice Jesus told His disciples to find a donkey and a colt. All throughout the Bible, we see both animals used as a means of transportation. Fast forward 2,000 years to Dr. Dollar’s jet request. Should he have asked 200,000 people to give $300? Before you answer that question, ask yourself this - should Jesus have sent His disciples to get His? Why did Jesus need a donkey and a colt? Couldn’t the Lord have walked or flown commercially like everybody else? Coming from someone who has personally given to three men of God’s jet projects – absolutely not! And here’s why.
WHY GIVE?
If you know God, then you know He’s always trying to bless or upgrade His people. Sure, Dr. Dollar needed the $65 million for a private jet; but God, through Dr. Dollar, was also giving 200,000 of the 2.1 BILLION CHRISTIANS in the earth the opportunity to sow towards their own or at least upgrade their present mode. I gave, not only because I wanted to help them get to their destinations under the anointing of God; so that they could be in a better state to minister the priceless and precious Word of God; but I also gave because I needed to get off the bus. So I sowed where I needed increase.
CALLED TO GIVE
Notice that when the Lord sent His disciples, He told them exactly where to go and at that particular place – there was someone that had been assigned or called to give Him His private jet of the day. We know this because the Lord said,
‘…if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.’
Again, notice the scripture says, ‘he will send them.’ Who is he? The owner of the donkey and the colt. This owner had been assigned to give the Lord what He had need of. If you’re upset that Dr. Dollar would ask for what he has need of, then that’s alright. That just simply means you’re not one of the 200,000 of the 2.1 billions of Christians on the earth that are. You might only be called to give your tithes and offerings to your local church. But it would behoove you to keep your mouth off the man of God and those that are.
Pray this with me: Heavenly Father, Your Word says ‘Who am I to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls.’ (Romans 14:4) Dr. Dollar is Your servant and I had no right to judge or put my mouth on him. I repent and ask that You’d forgive me. In Jesus’ name.
