How Long You Gone Stay Ig'nant?

When you hear about Job, oftentimes you get caught up in why ‘God allowed’ Job to go through that or you take it to another level and think that you have to go through it. But it’s not that God allowed that to happen; it’s that God is proving the genuineness of your faith; in what you say you believe. Because if you truly believe, know that Satan is coming to tempt, try, and test you for as long as you let him.

The Spirit of God showed me that the reason certain tests last so long is because they’re given extensions. Mine lasted over a decade which is seven times longer than what it was supposed to. In fact, did you know that Job’s ordeal lasted anywhere from 9 to 12 months? Yep! That’s all the time Satan got. And maybe you’re like me and think that you have to go through for unusually extended periods of time because of the great call of ministry on your life. Yeah, I thought that too and because I did, I kept giving it an ‘extension’ and it was granted because I didn’t have a revelation of Jesus Christ in those areas to which I was being attacked.

'that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,' 1 Peter 1:7

When you don’t have revelation or know the truth, by default that attack and/or bondage is allowed to stay. Why? Because you ig’nant. Oh, did I say that? I meant to say because of ignorance. And ignorance is due to lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6 says, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge…’ You’re not waiting on God to deliver you or give you an answer. Nine times out of ten He already has. You just refused or rejected what He told you to do because…you ig’nant! LOL. I use to tell my son, ‘Get yo tail in the tub!’ But I wonder is God telling you to ‘Get yo ig’nant tail in the Word!’?

Pray this with me: Heavenly Father, I knew I wasn’t supposed to be in this thing for as long as I have. I know you told me what to do a long time ago and I rejected what You told me. Lord, please forgive me. Please give me exact knowledge of Your will in wisdom and spiritual understanding about this situation and I’ll not be a forgetful hearer but a doer of Your Word. In Jesus’ name.
