Refusing Lack Byway of Immersion Learning

In our last issue, we found out that we’re going to have to practice being thankful about our 2-piece budgets; just as Jesus was. Because when you think about, He NEVER saw lack. He never saw someone so sick that they couldn’t get well (Mt 14:14-17).He never saw a demon that was so pow-va-ful that it couldn’t be cast out (Mark 5). He never saw a dead body that couldn’t be raised (John 11). There was never a tax problem that He couldn’t solve (Mt 17:24-26). And even though His Chief Financial Officer was embezzling, He never filed for bankruptcy (Jn 12:1-6). Jesus walked around and saw abundance all day.

Where others saw sickness, demon possession, problems and lack; our Lord always saw potential. What type of life He must have lived to NEVER SEE LACK? But here’s the thing I want us to start putting into practice. It’s not that Jesus NEVER SAW IT; it’s that He REFUSED to see it. It’s not that lack wasn’t there; it’s that He refused to believe it.It was always present; but by not talking and thinking about it, He was refusing its right to remain.

'Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.' (Pro 18:21) If He would have talked about how sick those people were, they would have never gotten healed. Or if He’d have told His disciples how bad those devils were, those people would have remained possessed. Why? Because He’d have been speaking death with His tongue which would have given life to those situations and thus allowing them to remain. People tend to think that in order to do this, you have to DENY the truth.Like when you receive a bad diagnosis and in an effort to practice this, you haul off and say, ‘Doctor…I mean devil – in the name of Jesus I do not have cancer. That’s a lie and you are too! By the stripes of Jesus Christ I am healed. ’ Then they go and tell everyone that they have it. It’s not about denying the diagnosis, it’s about refusing its right to stay.

The correct way to go about it is, is to REFUSE the diagnosis which is done by not talking and thinking about it. You begin to thank God for the health you have; for the parts of your body that aren’t affected by the diagnosis. Then you begin to immerse yourself in healing teachings. It’s called Immersion Learning. This is where a pupil immerses themselves; heart, mind and body into a particular subject. It’s used primarily to learn another language. So say for instance you wanted to learn Mandarin. A good way would be to move to China and become immersed in the culture. In order to thrive, you’d have to learn the language, which is exactly what you’ve got to do in order to REFUSE the diagnosis or to REFUSE the lack you’ve been experiencing.

You’ve got to learn the language of the kingdom which means speaking as Jesus spoke and if you’re going to learn how to speak like Jesus, then you’ve got to go where Jesus is. And Jesus can only be found in the Word of God. ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.’ (Jn 1:1)

If you’re struggling in your finances, then you’ve got to immerse yourself in teachings on diligence, increase and the laws of sowing and reaping. If it’s poor self-esteem, immerse yourself on victory and vision. If its pornography and infidelity, you need immersion in the love of God and faithfulness. If you're sick, then you need healing immersion. This is how you practice refusing lack; by immersing yourself to the point that you’re able to say what God says because you’re able to see the way God does.

Pray this with me: Heavenly Father, please anoint my eyes to see and perceive and my ears to hear the way You do. In Jesus' name.
