Someone To Believe

‘…Peter…found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed…and [he] said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately.’ Act 9:33, 34

Why after all this time was this man now able to get out of that bed? Because he’d been ready all along. He was already ready to stop doing nothing; if that makes sense. But why now? What changed? He just needed someone to believe that he could. After eight years of being told time after time that he’d never recover; in addition to having people feel sorry, pity, and even talk about him behind his back, because of his paralysis, he simply needed someone to believe that it was possible. Perhaps you too are paralyzed; physically, financially, psychologically or spiritually. You’ve been in that ‘bed’ for so long, that no one believes you’ll ever get married, have children, stop smoking, or be financially capable of taking care of yourself. Whatever your bed is, if you need someone to believe in your dream of becoming an entrepreneur, of graduating, being successful, or just having a normal life, then I will. I’ll believe in you until you do what God has shown you.

Aeneas had been bedridden eight years and maybe you have been too. You want to get up and do your own thing, but when you try; no one believes. No one’s there to encourage, support, or cheer you on. But I will. I’ll be your Peter. Whatever you’re ready to stop doing, ‘Jesus Christ delivers you. Arise!’ Whatever you need to start doing, ‘Jesus Christ has equipped you. Arise!’ If you just need someone to believe in you today, then I do. So go do what God created you to. Arise and be gloriously amazing today!
