Staci Sweet
Misapplied Deepness
As discussed on yesterday, there will be opportunities when the enemy of your soul will use the same temptation against you that he used against Jesus. Of which will include suicide, talking yourself out of God-sent opportunities, self-sabotage, and him testing your man and/or womanhood. But you must do as your Lord did and not bite the bait. Because remember, after Satan told Jesus,
“If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 10 For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
Jesus could have easily said to Himself, “Well, I know Michael, the arch angel, came and spoke to My mother personally and I know that the Word does say, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone, so I’mma just do it!” He could have even said, “This ninja must don’t know who I am.” Or, “Man, what he mean? If I am? Ninja I am the Son of God.” Jesus didn’t say any of that. The reason He didn’t is because He knew what the Word said and because He did, He didn’t misapply it out of pride.
